A move from Israel to Hamburg and adapting to a new working environment is stressful and time consuming, not to mention the language barriers and cultural differences. Our assignee Idan simply did not have the resources to deal with the processes involved when he relocated to Hamburg at the end of 2023. This involves home finding for suitable accommodation, selecting the best type of insurance and registering with the utility providers. It was a pleasure to support him as a “new Hamburger” with all the challenges, I also learnt a lot about his country and a few words in Hebrew during this time.
Shalom Idan – it was great to get to know you and introduce you to Hamburg.
And by the way, Idan now likes his new apartment and Hamburg so much that he can imagine staying beyond his planned time in Hamburg.
