I would like to tell you today about my orientation tour which I undertook together with Hammad in Bonn. Hammad is about to take a big step: he is moving with his family from America to Germany to commence in a new job. We first wanted to explore his potential new neighbourhoods to give him the feeling of Bonn before we start the Home Finding process which is a part of our Getting Started Comfort Package.
We started our tour in the north-east of Bonn and looked at neighbourhoods such as Siegburg. However, this was not the right place for Hammad, so we set off along the Rhine towards Königswinter. Here we discovered some interesting properties that caught his attention as a potential new home.
We travelled over to the other side of the Rhine River and explored around Bad Godesberg. Hammad was particularly taken with this area – he immediately felt at home and could well imagine living here. After some refreshment in a wonderful French patisserie in the centre of Bad Godesberg, we decided to focus the home finding between Bonn city centre and Bad Godesberg.
We found his new home! Together with his wife and daughter during his look-and-see trip, we found a beautiful property that met his criteria. Hammad can now focus fully on his onboarding process in the company and his new tasks. The next step now involves the administrative tasks, such as registering his place of residence, opening a bank account and applying for a residence permit.
It was a wonderful tour of Bonn and very successful. It not only helped us all to get to acquaint ourselves with the various neighbourhoods, but also simplified the decision for Hammad. I’m looking forward to supporting him in this new phase of his life and to hear what adventures await him in Bonn.
