After an eventful journey with many unexpected twists and turns, Miguel and his family arrived in Germany. Travelling from Spain with two children and lots of luggage, their car had broken down on the way, but they finally reached their destination safely full of hope for a successful start in their new life here. Miguel had been engaged as a specialist in an international company in Bad Honned, which necessitated the relocation. At the beginning the family lived in temporary accommodation while searching for a permanent home. The goal was clear, to find a home where all four of them felt comfortable and could settle down for good. It was Karina who gave the decisive; she proposed an area they had not considered previously. At the same time, it was the perfect environment for the children – safe and friendly. It clicked when Miguel and his family met the house owners, there was an immediate rapport and it was quickly clear this was the perfect home for them. Miguel and his family moved into their new home exactly one month after their arrival. The bureaucratic steps – from registering at the temporary residence, to preparing applications to amend their tax classes and for childrens’ benefits, to some hurdles with the utilities – were resolved with the support of the relocation agency bizorganization Wambach GmbH.
